SYMMES TOWNSHIP, OHIO NEWS – Loveland Men play for shared title Friday
SYMMES TOWNSHIP, OHIO NEWS – The Loveland High School Mens Basketball team hopes to play for what may be a three way tie in the Buckeye Division, Fort Ancient Valley League on Friday when they take on Winton Woods. The game is at 7:30 on the Winton Woods court.
For the three way tie to materialize, Loveland needs to avenge their overtime loss (58-56) earlier in the season to Winton Woods, and Milford (15-4, 7-2) needs to defeat Anderson (5-13, 1-8), also on Friday.
Loveland Junior Bobby Capobianco (6'8") leads the league in scoring (21.3), rebounds (11.8), and blocked shots (2.4). Junior Brian Wozniak (6'5") takes a season scoring average of 12.5 points and 5.8 rebounds into the regular season's final game.
Senior Warren Niles (6'4") comes to the season's last game for Winton Woods, averaging 14.4 points and 4.9 rebounds. Sophomore Allen Payne (6'6") averages 12.9 points.
As a team Winton Woods has averaged 61 points per-game vs. Loveland's 51.9. Loveland has held their opponents to 48.6 points, and Winton Woods has allowed their opponents, 54 points per-game.
