LOVELAND, OHIO - Come Paint the Town
LOVELAND, OHIO - The Loveland Arts Council has invited you to “Paint the Town.” Paint or create in any art medium between the dates of June 20 - 29, at as many locations as you like. Holly McAtee said, “Come and have fun and enjoy our beautiful town and the friendly audiences you will attract.”
“Loveland offers many amazing views for artists,” offers McAtee. She gave as examples: The Little Miami Scenic River and Bike Trail, Granny’s Garden, the Historic Downtown District, the Log Cabin on Riverside Drive, the Loveland Castle, and Grailville's Retreat Center and Organic Farm.
You can go to the Buzzthru Espresso Bar (807 Loveland-Madiera Rd.) to register any time during the event. You will get an artists packet which will include instructions, event name tag and a map of the area including private places where artists participating in this event will have special permission to work. There is a $20 registration fee ($10 for LAC members – to join go to www.all4art.info). All artists registering will get a free cup of "gourmet coffee" from the BuzzThru Espresso Bar.
After the painting period, there will be a “Wet Paint Sale” on Sunday, June 29 in historic Loveland on the lawn in front of the Runner’s Depot. Artists can sell their work without commission fees. McAtee said, “Last year, lots of work was sold.” She suggests that you bring your week’s work and an easel to display your work. “The Wet Paint Sale will have local publicity to bring a good crowd, plus the buzzing regular Sunday downtown Historic Loveland crowds and hiking and bike trail users - Plus all the people you have talked to all week while painting.”
