CLERMONT COUNTY, OHIO - The Clermont County Veterans’ Services Commission has unveiled a moving billboard designed to encourage veterans of the Iraq, Afghanistan, and Vietnam conflicts to contact their office if they need help with VA claims, emergency financial assistance, securing war medals, or if they simply need someone to talk to about their experiences in combat.
“We are here to help veterans get through the tough times,” said Clermont Veterans’ Services Office Director Dan Bare. The rolling billboard unveiled today is a Clermont Transportation Connection bus wrapped with messages to the veterans that will be in service across the county. Traditional billboards are also being utilized to get the message out.
“Timing is everything,” adds Bare. “We need to reach the many Vietnam veterans who are at an age when they are experiencing emotional and physical problems. We also need to be proactive and reach out to those just returning from combat to let them know the many services we can provide.” Issues impacting World War II and Korean veterans will be addressed during future campaigns.
The Clermont County Veterans’ Service Office is also introducing a new logo that will be utilized on all printed materials. Bare says it represents all branches of service and will give his office an easily identifiable symbol.
