LOVELAND, OHIO - Permaculture is a philosophy and method of designing systems for sustainable living. It is applicable to farms, gardens, organizations, homes, housing developments, towns and city neighborhoods. Permaculture teaches people to better care for themselves and each other by working with ecological cycles and energy flows.
The Permaculture Design Weekend will introduce principles and practices helpful to the urban, suburban or rural homeowner. You will examine home food, water and energy systems, consider how these can be made more sustainable by thoughtful design, and demonstrate some easy steps to begin making changes.
The program begins with supper at 6:30 PM Friday, August 1 and ends Sunday afternoon, August 3.
The weekend includes a half-day workshop on Grailville Retreat & Program Center: Saturday, August 2, 9 AM-1 PM (with lunch), open to interested learners not able to attend the full weekend. This half –day workshop will focus on why and how Permaculture Design principles can be applied in your life.
