Loveland Police Sergeant Jose Alejandro graduated from the Supervisor Training and Education Program (STEP) with more than thirty other law enforcement supervisors from throughout Ohio on December 4, 2013.
The STEP program, sponsored by the Law Enforcement Foundation and the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police, is a supervisory and management training program consisting of fourteen instructional modules including topics such as: Leadership Strategies, Performance Management, Employee Development, and Critical Incident Management. The program requires independent work conducting research, writing papers, and reviewing case studies.
“This program is another phase in Sergeant Alejandro’s development as a supervisor and key member of the Police Division’s management team,” says Police Chief Tim Sabransky.
Sergeant Alejandro was promoted in August 2012. He joined the Police Division in 1993 and is currently the K9 handler. Sergeant Alejandro is also a United States Navy veteran.
