And, what about that name?
Loveland, Oh. - Developer, Jim Cohen went to the Loveland Planing and Zoning Commission on December 3 to ask for permission to raise the roof on his River Trails Flats from three stories to four, on one of the apartment building he wants to build in Historic Downtown. However, Pat Furterer and Catherine "K" Buckler, both associated with the Loveland Stage Company wanted to talk parking. They also wanted to know why Cohen didn't stick with the name of the development used by Loveland residents for the last several years, "Loveland Station".
These LOVELAND MAGAZINE TV videos are the exchanges that took place at the meeting, and interviews with Furterer and Buckler after they testified during the public hearing.
Furterer and Buckler are concerned not only about parking for productions at the Stage Company, but for general everyday parking for patrons that are going to already established businesses.
Cohen would not appear on camera to answer questions after the meeting concluded, but said that parking is a "global issue" in the downtown area, and the community should find solutions by hiring outside experts who can help solve the problem.
Blue Ash developer, Cohen (CMC Properties) wants to build apartments and rent commercial space in Historic Downtown Loveland.
There will be a public hearing before city council on January 28 at 8 PM on the proposal to allow Cohen to raise the roof, from 50 to 59 feet, but indications are that parking concerns will not be discussed during the public hearing.
Loveland Magazine has been the only media to attend and report on these city meetings and the development proposed for Historic Downtown.
