Loveland, Ohio - These teens were crossing the Little Miami River Saturday evening at dusk on this active railroad line. This is the railroad bridge at Karl Brown Way in Historic Downtown. They were heading to Riverside Drive/E. Kemper Road doing a balancing act; walking from tie to tie, spaced not far enough apart to fall into the river, but far enough apart to make anything but a slow progression possible.
Fairly sharp curves in both directions of track would make seeing an approaching train and escaping to one end of the bridge or the other, perilous.
Anything but the balancing act could result in a broken/sprained ankle, or a stuck foot.
