It was a steady stream of students who braved the cold morning temps, walking from the Loveland Intermediate School (LIS) and Loveland Middle School (LMS) campus down Lebanon Road to Loveland’s LIFE Food Pantry to participate in the Pass-it-On Food Drive Friday, Nov. 21. According to Pass-it-On organizers, the Tiger Family – including LMS, LIS, Loveland Elementary School, Loveland Primary School and Loveland Early Childhood Center – collected a total of 4,258 food items – exceeding the request for 3,700.
“Loveland Schools has partnered with the LIFE Food Pantry for 14 years collecting over 32,400 food items through the Pass-it-On Food Drive,” said Karen Burke, LIFE Food Pantry drive organizer. “This year 198 Loveland families in need will receive two holiday food baskets! This would not be possible without the kindness and generosity of the staff, students and parents of the Loveland City School District.”
